How legal apprenticeships work at Express
Express have an established Legal Apprenticeship programme in place, having been at the forefront of this new qualification since its inception. We have refined and adapted our apprenticeship programme over the last decade to make sure it offers the best experience for our apprentices.
Initially you will be working in our New Client Team, who deal with all the new enquiries that come into the firm. Initially assisting with administrative tasks, we give you the time and space to transition into your new professional working environment. You will learn the foundations of law, get to grips with new technology systems and grow your soft skills ensuring you are fully equipped for your next stage.
As you progress throughout your apprenticeship, you will progress to become a Litigation Assistant helping a senior lawyer with their caseload. Finally, you will be responsible for your own caseload, running them from start to finish and managing your own clients.
As well as gaining excellent practical skills working, within in our fast-paced legal environment, you will also attend lectures and workshops via our partnered provider, where you will hone the theoretical side. You will be supported by your supervisor and will be provided regular study time as well. We believe this blended approach helps apprentices to learn more efficiently, ensuring that upon qualification you are well on your way to being a personal injury expert.
Your journey with Express doesn’t stop on qualification, we see every apprentice as part of the firm’s future. If you have shown your dedication and aptitude for providing the best service to our clients, we will look to offer you a newly qualified solicitor position and will look to continue to progress your career.
