The Lawyer Top 200 UK Law Firms list is now live, and Express Solicitors has improved on its ranking once again, coming in at 70th, up 10 places from 80th place in 2023.

Turnover has been on the up for the past few years and the latest figures for the year ending August 2024 showed a £70.6m for the Express Solicitors group up from £53.6 million in 2023.

Live cases are now at around 24,000 and once again, Express Solicitors is one of only a handful of personal injury specialists within the Top 100.

James Maxey, CEO of Express Solicitors, said: “We had a phenomenal 2023 with developments across the whole firm so it’s great to see our overall progress echoed in our new placement in the Lawyer Top 200.

“Over the course of the year we consolidated our sites and moved to a 40,000ft office which includes a gym and showers, roof garden, multi-faith room and EV chargers for both staff and visitors.

“Our new standing in the Lawyer Top 200 is a testament to all our recent progress and each and every employee’s hard work.”

The Express efforts haven’t gone unnoticed elsewhere either as the firm picked up a Best Law Firm award from the Modern Claims Awards earlier in the year and was finalist at the Manchester Legal Awards in the PI / Clinical Negligence Team of the Year category.

There has also just been another round of promotions and new hires across different areas of the business.

Express Solicitors first entered the Top 200 rankings in 2013, steadily working its way up to 106th position in 2021, 93rd in 2022 and then 80th in 2023.
