Rachel Flannigan is a Principal Partner at Express Solicitors where she also serves as Head of Technical Road Traffic Accident Claims. She has been with the firm since 2004, and her ascension and long service reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to nurturing legal talent.
Prior to joining Express Solicitors, Rachel gained extensive experience of Personal Injury Law working for both claimant and defendant firms. A confident litigator, Rachel is often willing to take on the more difficult, complex RTA cases that other Personal Injury Law firms pass over. This fighting spirit is embodied in her favourite quote from Mark Twain: ‘Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first’.
Rachel is experienced in dealing with all manner of RTA cases including bus and coach accidents, cyclist accidents, pedestrian accidents and cases involving uninsured drivers. Recent notable cases include appealing the MIB on liability in cases with complex technical liability issues, securing damages of £95,000.00 for a pedestrian struck by a moped on a crossing resulting in a fractured knee and where the rider denied he was the rider at the time of the accident and securing settlements for riders of electric scooters/ bikes whilst facing arguments from Insurers about the legality of these vehicles being on the road.
Rachel lives in Atherton with her husband and 2 daughters. An avid gym goer, she also enjoys musicals and is a huge Disney fan, citing Stitch as her spirit animal. Her main hobby is baking which she puts to good use in bake sales raising money for various charities at work.
