More about Eden McCaughie
Eden McCaughie is a Associate Solicitor in the Employers Liability claims Department, having initially joined Express Solicitors in July 2016 as part of the Summer Vacation Scheme. Upon competition of the Scheme, Eden was offered a full-time position in the New Client Team which involved taking the initial calls from new clients.
Eden has worked her way up the ranks from the New Client Team and joined the Employers Liability Department in October 2016 as a Litigation Assistant to Kimberley Kirkby (Partner). In November 2017 Eden was promoted to a Litigation Executive in the Employers Liability Department, where she was given the opportunity to run her own case load, specialising in accidents that happen at work or during the course of someone’s employment.
Eden was offered a training contract and became a Trainee Solicitor in the Employer’s Liability Department in September 2019 and she is now in the second year of her training and continues to run her own case load with the view to qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2021.
When asked what Eden enjoyed most about her role she commented “I enjoy helping injured clients to get their lives back on track in the most-stress free way possible. I take pride in not only securing the right settlement for clients, but also assisting them with their recovery along the way either by arranging for them to undergo treatment, or simply lending a sympathetic ear”.
When asked why Eden enjoys working at Express she commented “My colleagues at Express are like my second family. We all come from different backgrounds and have varying levels of experience, but despite this no question is ever too small and we are treated equally”.
