Michael is a Costs Litigation Executive in the Costs Department. He has a degree from Sheffield Hallam but, having always had an affinity for law and finding himself working in the legal sector post university, went on to obtain a law degree and complete the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford.
He is now a knowledgeable legal professional having worked in litigation and negotiations for over 15 years. Since 2018 his focus has been costs negotiations with experience gained at well respected law firms like Irwin Mitchell and Kennedys where he has acted for both receiving parties and paying parties with a varied caseload of claims arising from clinical negligence, serious injury, industrial disease, RTAs, EL/PL, housing disrepairs and commercial disputes. Michael is accustomed to working cases of all values up to and over £1m as well as cases that traverse the implementation of the Jackson reforms. He prides himself on his technical knowledge and building strong relationships with all stakeholders. Since 2021, Michael has been a member of the CILEx Law School and holds accreditation as an Advanced Paralegal.
Outside work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, watching rugby and discovering new music.
