Senior Associate Solicitor
More about Timothy Fieldhouse
Tim is a Senior Associate Solicitor within the Employers Liability team. Having qualified as a solicitor in 2005 Tim trained and qualified at Thompsons Solicitors specialising in all areas of Personal Injury Law. At Thompsons Tim dealt with all cases ranging from road traffic accident to multi track accident at work and claims for minors.
Tim then went on to work at regional firms specialising in industrial disease claims assisting people with injuries including noise induced hearing loss, vibration white finger, occupational cancer, asbestos related illness, and work-related upper limb disorders.
For the 6 years prior to joining Express Tim was the Head of a successful industrial disease team that had many successful cases and took on many cases that leading firms had refused to deal with. Many of Tim’s claims were valued at over £50,000. Tim was involved in the management of an industrial cancer claim where instructed counsel had put prospects at less than 10% but a settlement of damages of £200,000 was secured for the client. Tim also secured an early settlement within 6 months of instructions of £45,000 for a respiratory injury claim where the Defendants had denied liability. This settlement was in excess of the value counsel had advised the claim would likely receive if proceeded all the way to trial. A large amount of cases Tim deals with includes clients who not only have physical injuries but also psychological injuries stemming from their injuries.
Tim puts client care at the forefront of his work. Tim understands that no claim is the same and will always aim to keep his clients updated as much as possible as well as being available for discussions on the phone for his clients. ‘I understand how distressing this procedure can be for my clients and would always want to be available to answer any questions they may have throughout the running of the claim.’
Out of work Tim enjoys spending time taking walks but does says most weeks he ends up as ‘dad taxi’ taking his children to clubs and sporting events.
