For Karen Taylor-Barrett, a self-employed florist from Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, a dream spa holiday in Tenerife was cut short when she suffered a terrifying accident by the hot tub.
As Karen went to enter the hot tub, the decking collapsed around her leg which not only badly bruised her legs, but later resulted in her being diagnosed with a blood clot.
As a result of this accident, Karen’s life has changed. She is now petrified of falling over again and experiences constant agonising pain.
In fact, eight months later Karen explains: “My whole body aches from my shoulder to the end of my arm. The pain is so intense sometimes that it stops me from sleeping properly leaving me constantly exhausted.”
Karen enlisted Laura Vedrines, Associate Lawyer at Express Solicitors, to assist her in fighting this personal injury claim against Jet2.
Laura Vedrines adds: “This accident has affected every part of Ms Taylor-Barrett’s life. Holiday companies must be held to account when guests are injured in their resorts.”
